Sehat Kahani Annual Report 2020 – 2021 | Sehat Kahani at the forefront of Covid-19 to reshape the ecosystem

Jul 19, 2022

Sehat Kahani, committed to its objective of democratizing healthcare by developing an all-female health provider network to give quality healthcare solutions utilizing telemedicine, has shown miraculous results since its launch.

Finding a specialized doctor in Pakistan is more challenging than it should be: talking to relatives, navigating through connections, calling to inquire about charges, and so on, all for the sake of getting an opinion on a health condition. Sehat Kahani is on a mission to change that.

Sehat Kahani, founded by Dr Sara Saeed and Dr Iffat Zafar, is a telemedicine platform that strives to connect online doctors to patients using a chat, audio, and video consultation at affordable rates.

The year 2020 and 2021 was the most challenging and testing for Sehat Kahani. The world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, and no one was ready to overcome Covid-19 darkness. Though, there was a global push toward digital delivery in telemedicine. Sehat Kahani stood strong to combat the crises and transform the healthcare network in Pakistan.

As per the economic survey of Pakistan the total number of registered doctors and nurses is 22,595 and 108,474. Each doctor was looking after 963 patients. Now you know, how challenging it was to combat the crises as the hospital were groaned under the weight of patients. Despite the tough time, Sehat Kahani’s core team members – now close to 320 dedicate themselves to caring for our patients and communities each day via Sehat Kahani App where patients have access to experienced and qualified medical professionals, COVID care, e-pharmacy and much more.

Not just Pakistan but several countries worldwide have struggled to meet the rising demand for not only Covid-19 sufferers but also patients suffering from other ailments. Patients worldwide feared visiting hospitals to avoid being exposed to Covid-19. Infants, children, pregnant women, the elderly, and individuals with pre-existing health issues are more susceptible to getting Covid-19 and require medical attention. During the ongoing pandemic, Sehat Kahani played a critical role in providing a bridge for those susceptible people who required treatment.

Sehat Kahani presented an annual report showcasing just a few of the shining moments for 2020 and 2021: utilizing information and social media to communicate and assuage fears throughout the epidemic and collaborating with renowned brands.

From disaster to strategy, Sehat Kahani covered it all.
